Finally, FINALLY my computer is working again!
which means more drawing, more gaming, and generally more distractions. Three things that have come right on time to impede on my progress of college prepT-T
I kid though, this is definitely good news, because the most significant thing I'm getting back is the ability to actually make use of my pen tablet and photoshop (which I only previously had access to in my school's newspaper computer lab). The fact that I, once again, have photoshop at home is one that I keep reminding myself of due to the fact that the speed of which I've been able to complete many of the drawing projects (comics and such) I've been doing has leveled up significantly. For example: Last year, during the period in which I did not have a working computer at home, I had to start my comic a week and a half before deadline just to get it finished by deadline night due to the minimal amount of access I had to photoshop. Now however, I can start and finish my comic, at a considerably higher level of quality no less, in just over two days. suffice it to say, I am fucking pumped:D

So once again, it turns out the universe doesn't want me to have any form of Photoshop, and it's willing to go to the lengths of breaking another computer to do it...

For all those who didn't know (which is just about anyone sparing a glace at this journal) about a year earlier, my low-end gaming (and pretty much everything else) computer essentially imploded due to something to do with the cooling fan not working, and the computer itself overheating beyond repair.

Many months later, I was able to get Photoshop for my parents other low-end pre-intel mac. It worked well, and I was able to draw and more importantly edit and color drawings.
Fast forward to now: It seems that our mac is taking issue with our house's power, and refuses to acknowledged on a consistent basis that it is plugged it at all.

So it seems that I am once again left with our very low end windows xp PC and its lack of any amount of internal memory to be able to install Photoshop on it as well as a lack of money to buy any form of external hard drive let alone a new computer.

Anyway, it seems that I, again, have an excuse for not having any work processed beyond the point of inking.

MILESTONE!

1 min read
Hell yeah! 1000 page views! I'm kinda psyched about this and I really want to make a drawing for this, something nice. as in something that takes longer than a day.
I feel like I should have prepared something beforehand to post now at the 1000-mark, but I didn't really get any ideas fast enough.
So to anyone reading this, I would love some ideas on what I should draw for a milestone drawing.

this still seems like a short journal post, so I may as well say that while I probably wont have commissions set up for awhile, but I really do love drawing things for others. So anyone that would like me to draw something for them, just shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do.
So to whoever actually reads this, thanks!

I haven't really given much thought to what would go here, I'm sorta just typing as i go so bear with me :P
I finished my mini-project "seasonal snowflake" (check it out here->fav.me/d4k8qbx) and while it only took a few hours, in my standards, that's kind of a long time. I know, i know; there are always those people who make amazing works and say it took upwards to weeks, but i have to say i just don't have the attention-span for that XD
I really loved making it though. its the first time using the brush pen i got for Christmas and man does it make inking look a lot smoother and allows me to color from a scanned product (like a plain pencil can't). I feel like its my best work yet, and that can only mean better things to come! (i hope :3)
But self-glorification aside (no matter how much i enjoy doing it :P) I would really like to say merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, or nice whatever you do around this time of year. Basically happy holidays to all of ya! I hope you had a great time this season and looking forward, a great new-year!
-Chris signing out, Enjoy!

Finally! I've been able to get photoshop on my dumb non-intel mac and the idea of using my sleek wacom bamboo seemed so nice,
now that i sit down with it and begin to draw.... i dunno... something feels missing.
it seems that over the time i have regained my love of the simplicity of paper and pencil. surely my tablet being back in order will allow me to color my drawings easier, but i dont usually use straight colors, so it may be a bit more trouble than a fill bucket.
same with the fact that i often get ahead of myself and shade before scanning. this may be more trouble than its worth :P
wish me luck XP and enjoy the many drawings to come!
ENJOY!
